I personally am not attracted to being treated badly, I think it's sad that some women are. The "bad boy" type I was thinking of was more Humphrey Bogart calling Ingrid Bergman "doll" and "kid" and running an illegal casino in his very classy cafe. *drool*
As far as cars go... there is nothing like a classic Aston-Martin, but probably partially because I'm American and it has that foreign mystique. Wasn't that the James Bond car? hmm...

Is it possible that Shorn Canary's continued acceptance has more to do with people not having heard the remark in question?
I certainly hadn't heard about it until about a year ago - at which point I went right off him, gorgeous or not. Thug!
Give me a nice boy any day.

Excellent, nice guys win every time (virtually!) and i personally am very glad to hear it! Although, there is this guy in one of my classes and his arrogance, and openess about how awful he is is actually supprisingly appealing... yet i think it is just the confidence that i luv!

I do think that there is a tendency to like strong men, bornonthe20th. And there is a good evolutionary reason for this.
I was told today by a texan, in the context of war with Iraq, that might is right. I stood up and walked out of the conversation 90 seconds later.
What is a shame, is that so often strong men are b*****ds. Me, I go for good guys who aren't scared of me. Hard to find, unfortunately.

You think Sean Penn, Tommy Lee, Puff Daddy and Bobby Brown are strong men? Lets call them what they are - Thugs. Women abusers.
Men who think women count for nothing, their opinions, their dreams and their desires are as nothing to them.

No, I don't think they are strong. The problem is that some women equate a big mouth and violence with a big man and strength.
I suspect we are arguing from the same side of the fence, and not for the first time.

For the short-term (leaving a bar) women LOVE the bad boy with the disposable lifestyle, the minimum wage biker with the leather jacket and stubble.
But, for the long haul, the nicer, sports car driving guys usually win out.
With the exception of masochist type women, of which there are many, that want a guy who beats em and treats em like dirt... If you dont belive me watch an episode of COPS.

You know... the more I have been thinking about it, the more I realize the guys I know with true strength and toughness, are not the ones that act that way. They are the ones that get looked over because they don't have that pressing need to prove they are strong or powerful.
I guess I have been blessed, because I know a good group of guys who are masculine without being mean. They are willing to be friends (with real friends there is no "just" friends about it), and treat the ladys in their lives with respect. Sometimes they get labeled as "bad boys" because of the way they dress or pranks, or that they are strong and have been through tough crap, or more usually "wild ones". But they have that laid back cool that doesn't need to prove it... like Bogey kinda. They are respectful to women and get walked all over, so they have that loner/heartbreaker/heartbroken thing going on, and it's mysterious to some girls.
Hmm. I my boys! They would beat the cheez out of anyone who hurt women in any way... good to have around.
off to tell 'em I appreciate 'em... Y.S.

Nobody told me they love to leave bars with bikers in leather jackets.

i can understand that certain people like the idea of being protected by a 'bad boy' but if they have a nice personality does it count as a nice guy? i supose the definitions vary, wild on the outside, smooth on the inside.... sounds rather like a chocolate bar!...

*Just knows he's going to get chased for this...*
A great many of my ex-girlfriends have told me there are two distinct sides to me: 'nice' B and 'nasty' B. Most of the time I have been told that they prefer the 'nice' me, but in bed, I'm afraid that excuse invariably does not hold true.
