I have bent my own rules, this thread is for my hootoo friends, own poems and verse, but lately,one of my friends has been talked about, in a un-friendly manner..this is to show, that there is always a true friend around, who will stand by you and never stab anyone in the back.

I have been a little sad lately with what has been happening in hootoo. This is just my way of venting..

I am sad at the loss
of Researcher EV,
for as a newbie he allowed
me to sit on his knee.


He helped show me the way,
he had patience and care.
He took me to places
where I'd never dare!


Now Master B's, another
Researcher we lack.
Who else but he, could
bring us a thread on Blu Tac?

I wrote something. Please keep in mind that I haven't written anything even close to a poem in about 3 or 4 years. I'm just trying to get myself motivated to write again. And I wrote this in about 30 seconds. Disenchantment can sure be a killer!


Devotion

It wasn’t that long ago that I was born,
And in the time since I have seen very little that convinces me to stay.
There are precious few moments that keep us going.
True friendship is not between two people who are willing to die for each other.
In death you have no more struggle and no more stress.
True friendship is between two people who are willing to *live* for each other.

there is no time limit to poems and verse, this is the place to put them, all are welcome and thank you FF for putting yours here

Sense sent me wandering, wondering what would be
If sense came and hit me, would I have sense to flee?
If sense be the measure of mankind and his mind
I think I must walk ‘round looking, not seeing, half blind
If sense be the measure of all that’s good for me
Then there seems to be a lack of what is meant to be
I try to use my common (sense) in my dealings with the day
But I end up more confused in my dealings, come what may
At work they make the rules that confound me all the more
The government is giving them lots more rules to explore
I sit and think, trying to work out the meaning of it all
But I end up with a headache and make myself look a fool
Can’t do this, don’t do that, there’s a chance you might get hurt
If I try to use my stairs should I sound an alert?
There’s far too many rules, now where’s the sense in that?
I think I should try to listen more, not act like a prat!
But the more it seems I listen the more confused I get
Is it just me, or has it happened to you yet?
The sense of right and wrong is something high and noble
But I can’t help getting a sense that that thought isn’t global
It seems that sense is not a thing to look into too deeply
And any sense I seem to show I tend to keep it briefly
I’ve finally learned to show no sense in what it was I meant
If you think that is confusing, just blame the government

makes a load of sense to me, err! how do you carry a load of sense?????

I was trying to think of gibberish but none would come
So I just sat there and thought and that sensible? one came instead

I tried thinking once, nowt came out

I know what you mean, I have that problem


Sometimes it's just safer to stick it on automatic and go with the flow

it used to work at wo*k, bosses never expected anything out of me, so thats what they got

I learned long ago that using my brain at w*rk only lead to more w*rk and more stress, so now I just go with it and only use what I need to to get by

Now I can come home and still have an active mind that's not stressed to the limit and when I go to bed I find it a lot easier to fall asleep
