Duran Duran punk rock? I would have thought they were more synth pop myself - still Girls on Film is still one of my favourite video clips - can't imagine why

Yeah... I guess they're sort of classic alternative rock-ish kinda sound.. they were considered punk back in the early days, no? Ah well... hard to put stuff like music/art/books into genre's anyway. :D Girls on Film's an awesome video! yay! I haven't seen many of them, but it was kewl seeing them playing in the background..

It is hard to categorise music etc by genre - though I think it would be safe to say that Duran Duran wouldn't have been considered punk by anyone other than Top 40 radio in their heyday
