I like to think of myself as a Guide Intern. It might make a good title for as-yet-unpublished authors.
Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I was an insensitive, boorish American! Someone recently corrected my spelling of, I think, 'skepticism', requesting that I spell it the British way of 'scepticism'. Now, I generally agree with the use of s and c rather than z and k, as it usually goes, and an extra u will meet with no argument from me. But I still found myself realizing, "My God! These people are all British!" I'm now kicking myself for subconsciously assuming everyone's from California.
And now I wonder: should 'immunize' be 'immunise'? It looks odd to me.
Signing off,

Causes Galileo's math book to get thrown
At Delilah, who's sitting, worthlessly alone--
But the tears on her cheeks are from laughter."
