Interview with the Screenwriter

A self-interview with Karey Kirkpatrick (the screenwriter who has completed the script, based on Douglas' last draft) has just gone up on the official movie site:

It's interesting in that it talks a lot about how much new stuff there is in the movie, and how much of that new stuff was actually written by Douglas before he died. Definitely worth reading, as the most striking thing is how much everyone involved in the movie is committed to 'doing it right'.

Yeah I found his self-interview very reassuring. He really wanted to let the fans know he cares about them and respects the works of Douglas Adams. The only thing that bugegd me was he mentionned Disney two times. I mean, this cannot be a good thing, having disney involved in a movie project, especially when you want to preserve a vision. Hope they won't stick their noses where it doesn't belong.

He seemed relatively good for the job. Didn't sound particularly like Douglas or anything, but hopefully that's a good thing. I agree that the interview was surprisingly reassuring. It looks to me like the film is in pretty good hands, especially with people like Robbie Stamp floating around.
