5 Weeks of Lovely Time
JulesK Posted Aug 18, 2008
I'm glad you're so close by with those towels, Legster, as apparently the Rosie is feeling the pinch - too many babies being born this month to cope with...
Sho - I know, I do them when I remember. Truly I do.
I made a mistake in my previous post, it was of course four lots of house guests in three weeks, hence why I'm so shattered now. Today is a nothing day, lovely!

Sorry, Lil, I didn't see you with the refreshments there - you wee over the page!
Sho, I think where you work dictates Leave choices. I know you can go off work up to 11 weeks (!) before the due date and you have to take two weeks off after the birth. Not sure if these are national guidelines or local to my job. I took nearly 5 weeks Annual Leave which I'd saved up and then the Maternity Leave kicks in, which is paid I think for eight weeks and then the money drops and keeps dropping off up to nine months when it stops. But you can opt to have a whole 12 months off if you can afford it somehow.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Aug 18, 2008
I'm all ready on standby then if the rosey can't find a barn for you to settle in Hmmm, I may need to give these slightly rusty sissors a bit of a clean, they'll probably be serile enough I recon... Brandy must get some brandy in, Oi!, no! its not for the mother, its to calm the doctors nerves (is it still customary to name the baby after the widwhife/delivery nurse? in that case it may as yet still get called '2legs' )
Oh, did you just mention houseguests?; damn now you remind me I'm due to have a guest down soon, and the spare room currently more closely resembles the spares department of some strange meeting between a music store and PC-world where is my feather duster
So where's the baby?
JulesK Posted Sep 3, 2008
Right, three days overdue now and counting...
Finished the kitchen (well, it'll do) so baby is quite welcome to make an appearance now, hopefully before the midwife mentions induction again, which would mess up my plans. (I know babies have a habit of messing up plans, but you've got to try to instil a bit of early authority, surely? )
How can we coax it out?
So where's the baby?
JulesK Posted Sep 3, 2008
I wondered how long it would take someone to volunteer that solution! I suppose I've tried everything else...
Maestro? Do you mean it would scare the baby back in or halt the romanticness?
So where's the baby?
JulesK Posted Sep 3, 2008
I've managed to avoid watching it so far - it really is amazing how many of this 'celeb' reality shows they keep getting away with.
So where's the baby?
JulesK Posted Sep 3, 2008
That's spooky I just did some hoovering before I even read this post!
Doesn't mean I'm calling it nighthoover though.
So where's the baby?
