I haven't been around very long and proudly added you to the people i wanted to keep track of, who's 'debates' are of the most interesting that i had encountered on the site.

I must say i am very disappointed at the attitude displayed by yourself and one or two others during this 'debate'. I consider it not only a very 'superior' stance but also what you are proposing is setting a poor example for us 'newbies'. You should lead by example as has been suggested not be talking of setting up a 'superior' site for the pompous among you!!

This post is not meant to be offensive but perhaps you should read back over the last postings and see just how you sound!!

Don't leave to set up another site ............. lead by example and let those who have just joined find what good examples of a debate are like, not just from the lightweights and the inexperienced you leave behind. Some of us, whilst perhaps not able to take a full part yet deserve to have all the talent available to us as well ............ otherwise how do we learn to achieve the 'greatness of debate' you obviously crave!!??

No one is leaving h2g2. Blatherskite has simply created a new 'page' within h2g2 for proper debates.

Also, h2g2 is not about debates, its about the guide. The site simply has the functions that allow users to set up their own clubs and such, which is what blatherskite has done.

I can only support what Flake99 says. For Blatherskite to respond to this unfounded and hurtful nonsense would be demeaning. I am happy to help make that unnecessary.

Why not get yourself over to the debate page and have a proper debate?

I was trying to read this thread, it throws me out.

So having only gotten this far, I would be interested to know what happens. Months ago , after the moderation on Iraq ,I just started posting things on my own page to talk about. It was too frustrating on ASK a lot of times.

Two-bit has been there a few times, we are generally (not always)at odds politically but I am happy to hear his point of view. Two bit was the last to be spoken to rudely by someone, I addressed it right away.

I lost my patience twice since I have been here at h2g2 and it was months ago, that taught me alot.

Abbi, could you repost this query? I've read it several times now, and I just can't put my finger on what it is that you're asking.
