Didn't know you had it in you, Spider-woman Good post in the Save GW thread. You said some home truths without being offensive. I don't have anything against the guy, but I am very surprised some haven't said what you did before now.
It's a shame you're not coming to WD, though I'll probably see you on More Writing when that's up and running if you make it there? Oh, and I'd like that free poetry website addy if you have it (I lost it).

Well, yes, I often am that person! I have always found the presumption by some men that I actually like being talked to as though I was a twenty year old dimwit girl who was hanging on their every word and simpering with pleasure at being called Love and Sweetness, very annoying.
I will be on More Writing from now on as you have figured.

Since I have been there as a manager we have only had one or two isolated incidents of having to slap wrists. Arguing is a no-no and everyone is friendly and supportive.
Pop in and have a mooch around. It was a little slow after xmas but it's picking up again now and there are soem really very good poets on there.

Yes, the presumptive pet names are cringe-worthy when uttered by any man... though I imagine most women wouldn't complain if Brad Pitt uttered the words He's been told by men before but I think women put up with it more.
I'll check out the site and I'll be keeping a close eye on MW to see how it develops. Some people seem to have dismissed Writer's Dock out of hand, which I think is a shame, but I guess there's still grieving to be done for GW. It'll be weird when it's not here anymore, that's for sure!
