Spiderbaby, I nonchalantly gave an offer of a lift to the Birmingham the other day on a public thread, which has today erupted into an argument about safety and meeting up with strangers etc etc...

Sorry I never really think about these things, as I ain't a weirdo, but then how are you to know that. Sorry If I cause any kind of embarrassment

The offer still stands, but I figure, on the conincidence that we do both go, we should either try and find someone else from Kent who is going, (pref. someone who knows the way) or if you wish meet somewhere before hand...on saying that though, I don't think my missus would be too happy about me disappearing across the country for an evening with a woman!

Sheesh when did the world get so untrusting...?

Anyhoo lets see what happens with dates and everything first, and cross that bridge when we get to it...

Of course, for all I know you could be an axe-wielding dog hating nutter...

Dn't feel bad about offering Reggie. Of course anyone in their right mind is not going to leap into a car with a complete stranger! You also should be careful. You could end up with a nutter as a passenger! I know you only offered with the best of intentions as the poeple who issue warnings have only the best interests of their online friends in mind.

Sometimes we get carried away with the spirit of the conversation and then realise we should have been a little more circumspect!

Maybe the idea of a bunch of us travelling together is a better idea if we can find some others from our area. After all, I would freak if any of my daughters said they were getting a lift to a gig with someone they had only spoken to a few times on the net.

Maybe we could exchange e mails anyway with a veiw to traveling together if anyone else from Kent is going.
