I have been somewhat silent this week since the Hellfire Club 'nonsense'. I 'joined' as a lark and then it slid into playground antics. Lost the spirit of the 'game" At least this is how I see it.
I have NO idea how many signon names this RM has. He indicated he was a friend, but has written too many diverse entries that I fear he is having a great laugh at the expense of those more honest.
You had the nerve to speak honestly and I too was disappointed by the lack of 'maturity' in that story. Been around too many immature teen boys in my job that that sort of talk sickens me.
Maybe it is a woman's perspective?

I think the story haad merit in the way it was written. I like his style. It was the content which I thought went into unecessary detail for such a public forum. Yes this siste is for oiver sixteens but you don't have to join to browse. I post poems wirttine by my daughter sometimes, she is twelve. There is nothing to stop anyone reading the work here and coming across something like that.
I know I sound a bit Mary whats her name, but someone has to.
The hellfire thread has descended into playground behaviour and I have told them what I think.
I really don't giv e s*** how people react to my posts. I do enough work here to justify having a voice!!!
I like rod and apreciate what he si trying to do. A pity he is attracting a lunatic fringe though!
Thanks for your message. Ali

Apologies for typos. I type faster than my ability to hit the right keys, and don't always look at what I have posted before hitting the button.
Thanks for your perspective...

SB, if you value Rod, I respect your opinion.
I suppose as a new person on board here, I was took him too seriously and therefore was overly upset with the antics. I didn't regard what he said to me with a grain of salt, although he had warned me of the British sense of humor. Perhaps I judged him too severely. I DID enjoy the banter at first.
Perhaps it was my naive attitude which clouded my judgement. You Brits do have a different sense of humor (as BBC shows indicate to us in Canada!)
I must apologize to rod for the catty remarks I made to him on various threads. Should have sat back longer and got a better feel for the place I suppose...
