Yeah, I know, but I wanted an unbiased opinion from someone who's fortunate enough not to live there *giggles*

I think with that very comment you have answered your own question - it is exactly like it was last time I went there (she says diplomatically)

I'm lost... I'd much rather be found

And may I remind _you_ Menz, that their most horrific act of treason on the mainland _remains_ the Birmingham bombings - a night they _nearly_ got my parents...
Manchester was peanuts (I remember it well - I was there the first time they bombed the place, I was walking into Salford Uni as the first one went off, and in the middle of an electronics class being taken by a man who looked the spitting image of Captain Caveman when the second one went off later that morning...)

Maybe I know your parents. The Tavern in the Town was a pub much frequented by mates of mine but they weren't in that night. Or the Mulberry Bush at the foot of the Rotunda.

My dad was a cabbie when one of the bombings happened,
he saw the aftermath and still goes white when its mentioned.
He has opinions on the Birmingham six too.
And what record shop do you means menz? was there one in the
corn exchange?

I just popped in to say >thhhrrrpppttt< :-p
I like MK. We have <> one way systems, we keep all the traffic lights in one place, and when I lived one the next estate to my office I could break the ton on the way to work!!
I'll admit some of the pubs aren't much, but we have a purpose built rave centre.

But you've got so many roundabouts that from the air it looks like some one has taken a shotgun to it.

Zed Posted Nov 1, 1999
they're not roundabouts, they're kneeslider testing zones, don't you know nuffin?
and an imperative to buy quality tyres! (all kneel before the bridgestone)
okay, so maybe we got carried away with the coffee cup stains on the plans. you ever been to belguim? long straight dual cabbage ways punctuated by triffid lights. seriously scary when you get up to speed!

You've got all your trafficlights in one place?! That's a bit odd, isn't it? But still, it must be a pretty darned safe crossing, then.
