Deseret Industries. You take all the second hand stuff that you don't want anymore to them, and they resell it back to the public.

Ah. There is a similar place here, but getting stuff to them is a problem as I don't have a DL. smiley - smiley

I'm a horrible hoarder. I hate giving things away, or even selling them. I think giving the books to charity is very good thoughsmiley - smiley Well done Ivan. I keep meaning to give money to charity... but somehow I never get round to it. To be fair to myself though I really don't have any money to spare. Well I suppose I have money to spare you know.... I could give to to charity instead of buying the book or DVD or whatever it is I want.... Oh a tricky moral dilemmasmiley - erm

There's no dilemma in that - do what will produce the greater good. Buy the book or DVD, then give it to charity later. smiley - winkeye You're happy when you make the purchase, and again when you donate it, and the charity's happy to get it. smiley - zen Perfect.

Ah Ivan! What a clever solution! You have all the answerssmiley - smiley
Now all I have to do is cure myself of being a pack rat. In the end that would benefit everyone. The charity would get things I didn't need anymore and I might actually have room to walk in my room.

There's nothing wrong with being a pack rat, as long as you're aware of the issue. smiley - zen

I just need to keep things organized. Then at least it's reasonable. If I don't know where anything is I might as well not have it. I'm considering finally getting rid of some of the things I have stored up in my closet. I probably don't need the box of barbies and accessories. I havent looked at them in years. Oh but the sentimental value....

Barbies? Never would have figured you as the Barbie type.

But you would my Mum right? And she picked my toys when I was little.... But I wasn't the traditional barbie type. They did more than dress and undress and go out with ken. They all had their own names and they went camping and swimming; had Christmas and birthday parties survived floods, earthquakes and tornadoes; they had tons of exciting adventures!

Oh, yeah, that's true. My Mom used to get barbies for my sister, but she just ignored them altogether and played basketball.

That's good too. I've always been lousy at sports so I avoided things like that but I loved rollerblading, biking, and cops and robbers.
