You Are Loved, Wowbagger!
The Willem Love Collective Started conversation Oct 23, 2001
We love you, Wowbagger! Don't forget it, ever. We care about you and we appreciate you for being the witty person you are! I love your cartoons, too--great job!
The whole (real) purpose of this is to remind you that you are loved. Loved from the bottom of our hearts, "us" including me, the rest of the WLC, and the billions of others on h2g2. Not to mention your RL family and friends, who care just as much as we do! You matter alot to alot of people.
Peace and love, Wowbagger.
the Shee (bei WLC, the Reverse-wowbagger project... referring to the h2g2 books, of course, not you!! sea did a great job of explaining it; if you go to the WLC Upage and click at the top, you can see what she's wrote... WE LOVE YOU, WOWBAGGER!)

Why thank you .
I've gone to your page (I hope you don't mind if I refer to your collective in the singular ) and I think it's a wonderful thing you're doing.
I chose the name 'Wowbagger' because he/she/it was my favourite incidental character. This was not because it insulted people, but for the wonderful mix of bittersweet determination that DNA gave to it.
I am also the sort of person that will give myself hugely impossible long range silly tasks to perform in the name of keeping myself amused. h2g2life is one of them - I think it may be the longest lasting one by now LOL.
Anyhow, despite the fact that my sole published guide entry is on 'Insults', I just wanted to let you know that I'm pretty much 'against character' with my namesake in the mudslinging caper, and hope the your 'reverse Wowbagger's are a huge hit.
cheers
Wowbagger

I wasn't implying that! (At least, I didn't mean to....) But I figured since this is kind of your reverse namesake, I'd make sure to post to you early!
Peace,
the Shee

I have met other Wowbaggers on this site who chose this name for the insults - I wished to distinguish myself from them LOL

Really? You are the only Wowbagger *I* know... I only realised that there was you. I should have guessed though; anything connected with the h2g2 books is going to be popular on this site . You're famous a famous Researcher, Wowbagger!

(But you were still the only one I knew about, .)

14 out of 25 (56%) simply joined up as the name and then did nothing after that. No journal enries, didn't change the user page, nothing.
I would have thought there was some way of making sure names couldn't be repeated. *shrugs*
If the 'U' numbers are anything to go by, I was the second person to take up the monicle, but the person before me (25960) didn't do anything once joining up.
*trying to think of how to turn this into a h2g2life* LOL

There's so many people on h2g2... I think a lot of names are repeated, but like 56% of "wowbagger"s, they might only come for a day or so and never return.
And what would h2g2 say?--"We are immensely sorry that your name, "Wowbagger", has already been chosen 25 times, and you are not allowed to use it. Thank you for your time." I can just see the looks in people's eyes--what, no "Fenchurch"? no "Wowbagger"? no "Prefect"s? no "FroodyDude"? (I don't know how common that one might be... never seen it. Just trying to come up with more HHGTTG-related stuff.... and not succeeding very well.)

Hi all *waves*,
Well, there are 3 fully active researchers named Amy, but they are a bit different - "Amy the Ant" "Amy" and "Amy +" (it's a cross, not a plus, but I don't know to produce the cross )
So it is easy to know who is who.
On the other hand, Willem comes in a veraity of names, but is still the same person

I'm amazed at the people who have a second name that they use to sneak around h2g2 incognito. They must have a lot of time on their hands! LOL

Hello all!
I'm still certain there must be more Amys on here (maybe not called Amy on h2g2...) than Amy the Ant, Amy+, Yma and myself... Though I'm the only one who hands out mufflewhumps right and left! *proceeds to do so* In fact, while lurking, I've found that one of my newer friends thinks of me as 'Amy Mufflewhump'

Hello All ,
Next week's cartoon features the 'multiple Wowbagger' topic we've had in this forum. It suddenly struck me last week thta I never got around to making one like I said I would.
Problem is, when I got to the writing stage, I tried to include all the Williem Love Collective aspect of the conversation. I found that I couldn't do it without explaining the WLC to those unfamiliar. This PLUS the info about multiple Wowbaggers, no matter how I tried, oculdn't fit into the one cartoon. It always ended up feeling like 2 cartoons in one.
So here's what I'm doing:
Next week's cartoon is about the Wowbagger thing, but I've fabricated the first bit about how I found out. Hope nobody minds.
The cartoon for the week after is about a special event. Can't change it. Shan't. Won't.
The week after THAT I'm doing one on the WLC. I've thought one up. It's nothing spectacular, but I think it's in the spirit of it all.
Okay with everyone
Wowbagger
