Opticalillusion- media mynx life would be boring without hiccups Started conversation Mar 22, 2007
I have decided to work on the PR entries and get them through, then the Edited Writing Guide entries and work on my old entries that should have been edited such a long time a go. There will be few new entries developing from me until i get all these through. If anyone would like to offer support i'd love this.

I'm just frustrated that my entries seem to get to pr and then get stuck there. Others have no quotes in them yet they go through fine. I'm trying to excel and do good work but its frustrating. I started off with a list of towns then removed it now Gnomon wants it back in. I'm not sure what i'm doing, coming or going.

That's the great thing about h2g2: being so community-oriented. So I'll help in any way I can.

Opti if you would submit your entries when they're finished instead of need a lot of work, they'd go through PR a lot faster

You've been asking around why the Scouts don't pick your work. I wonder if you realise that Scouts are supposed to read the PR thread before picking an article. (This definitely has to be done by a Sub-editor). I'm afraid I just don't have time to wade through one of your enormous PR threads, or check whether you have done the work/alterations/recommendations requested by Peer reviewers. So many times I have seen Gnomon and others point out the same basic errors and I have yet to see you learn anything. Even something as basic as using a spell-checker would save the reviewers time! If your article is as near-perfect as you can make it, before submission to PR, then the PR thread wouldn't be so challenging to busy people. There's only person who can help you, Opti, and that is you

I agree with GB on this. You can expect plenty of support from the community, but it might get tired of having to point out the same mistakes. Ultimately it has to be you who writes the entries.
