Traveller in Time Reporting Bugs -o-o- Broken the chain of Pliny -o-o- Hired

The subject of refugees is in the news every day.

One side: people who give up house, home country just to live safe.

People so desperate to live they have to leave the land of their parents, not stopped by having to cross a sea desert or mountains.

Other side: 'those foreigners steal our jobs and land'.

I wonder who is not foreigner somewhere in their heritage, perhaps some native African tribe? Anywhere in the world we have invaded land and settled.

Next side: who is not afraid of new customs, strangers invading your quiet street.

I guess it boils down to 'we have normality *deal with it*'

ITIWBS

I personally consider the ethics of big slave drives of the character rather questionable, whether its Rwanda, Baltimore or Syria.

I've always welcomed any influx of new peoples from a differnt civilisation or culture into my imediate vacinity where I live... basically, because, without exception its always ment, new interesting foods and thigns in the shops, and ultimately a better range of takeaway food smiley - drool The last influx near me, ment I've changed my own nationality now, and I now clame to be Jamaican having tasted of their food/cuisine smiley - droolsmiley - blush yeh. I'm that shallow smiley - laughsmiley - drool so... my national dish has suddenly changed ... from pilau rice with curry, to rice N peas, with curry goat... hm.... nah.. honest its a bigger shift in diet than one might otherwise suspect smiley - laugh
