For the full and stupidly complex background to this entry you'll need to have read these: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F124071?thread=357232 http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F124071?thread=378703 http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F124071?thread=400596 which are the links to the following journal entries: Confidence, moi? (Dec 12, 2003) Back to the old Mullet (Feb 8, 2004) I might regret this (Mar 26, 2004) That probably hasn't given the 'full and stupidly complex background' but you should read them. Because I said so. I need my power fix see.... Seriously though, they're the h2g2 summary of this particular topic. And by topic I mean everything on h2g2 to do with this person or rather not, since her sister is a hootooer and so has probably mentioned her somewhere. In fact the girl in question made a posting on her sisters personal space. Signed in as me. Within about 30 minutes of meeting me. Meaning that I can look up that date any time. Shockingly it's less than a year ago. Shocking because it means that I asked her out when I'd known her less than a month. Which really isn't me at all. And may go towards explaining why it all went pear-shaped. Anyways, as was most likely stated in those journal entries somewhere, we got together last December, broke up in early February and then she started seeing this other guy in late March. And, long story short, I still liked her. When she split up with me she said Im not saying I dont ever want to be with you ever again or something to that effect. So I had hope. So even after she started going out with someone else I waited. But then I realised that I couldnt wait forever. Sure, if she broke up with him and I was single then maybe we would get back together. But there was no point in spending every day waiting. So as time went on I moved on. I think. I certainly thought I had. I no longer spent every day waiting for them to split up. And as time went on we became better and better friends. And far closer than wed been when we were a couple. And we spent more and more time together and I started to fall for her again. And her and her boyfriend began to drift apart a bit and once again I had to wait. And every day it seemed like they were so close to breaking up and they never did. Then, as the end of the wondrous thing that is the end of the college year approached, we made plans for a movie marathon type thing at the end of term. She was going to be spending the night at my house! And still she didnt break up with her boyfriend. Now Ill take a moment to clarify an important point. She did not, at any time, cheat on her boyfriend. She wouldnt do that, And I wouldnt have responded if shed tried to. So anyway, we reached the last day of term and she split up with him. And then, after nearly a whole summer holiday of taking some time to discuss matters and not rush into things we got back together

YAY!!!! GO MULLET!!!
Thats awesome dude! Way to go!
Thats quite a story, but I like happy endings. Wish I could have one. A happy ending that is - I've got the story... It's a bit more complicated and messed up, which is probably why the ending's all messed up...
But keep going man!
Have a blast!

Nah, you're not rude - I'd also worry if some strange unknown person with a name like Laudatortemporisacti had me on their friends list too!
Ok, well, here goes another story of note....
*clears throat*
Once upon a time I joined h2g2. Hey, fancy that! It probably explains why I'm still here!
Anyway, that's besides the point.
I had absolutely no clue what on earth it was on about, nor what the heck I was doing (I just love HHGTHG, see) and so I needed to start somewhere.
I saw that it had a lot of entries about a lot of stuff, and then I forgot about it.
A while later, I was arbing around on the net and arrived back at.....wait for it........h2g2!
I was with a mate of mine, so I was trying to explain the purpose of the site to him. Anyway, he's a keen fan of mullets () and he was just starting to grow one. So, to cut a (not very) long story short, we got around to looking up 'mullet' and arrived at you.
Anyway, from there I joined the Thingites, and as I was (and still am) always short of time to spend on the net so I didn't have time to join the UBC, which sounded pretty cool. So I stuck you on my friends list so that I could get there quicker the next time I was around, you see?
However, when I went back online, I found that didn't work because your UBC link took me to the Terranic Army instead. I meant to tell you that, but I kept forgetting...and forgetfulness is also why you're still on my friends list.
So no, you don't know a thing about me at all, and if you did, I would be worried!!!!!
Now you know the story....
Penny for your thoughts?

By the way, you never told me whether it still freaks you out having your name on my list?

No it didn't! She was sworn off guys until September. And we got back together on the 6th. So it took us 5 days. And since I was in South Africa for those 5 days I think I can be excused

You were in South Africa?! Awesome! Whereabouts did you go?
That's where I live actually. I think I'm the only South African on h2g2.
