I noticed that therre was nothing about teaching in English Primary schools. What I have submitted is a description of the job and the responsibilities that go with it.

Nice work, this would make a good entry as there are lots of people posting comments about teaching, it's good to have the official policy explained.
You have used a few bits of jargon (eg ICT), we can guess what these mean but somes footnotes would be useful. Maybe also explain the relation between age, year and key stage, parents may know this but not everyone does.

Very nice idea for an entry
UK readers will be familiar with terms such as primary school, juniors, and infants, but others around the world might not, so a brief description of what ages we're talking about and the structure of primary school would be helpful at the beginning of the entry.
Bear in mind also that this entry if recommended and edited, will be in the Guide for many years to come, so sentences such as "...framed by the National Curriculum, which has been in place for about 10 years. It was last reviewed in 2000," need to be tied down to the present time by using a phrase like 'at the time of writing'
Well done

Also, since so much of what you're talking about is extremely UK-specific, I think I'd consider changing the title to "Primary school teaching in the UK" or in Britain, or in whatever geographic region the information most closely pertains to.
I also found the last science rather confusing and off-putting.

As a father unexpectedly having 2 children re-entering primary education, I shall be interested to see how it has progressed over the 15 years since my eldest entered it.
I hope they are fortunate enough to get a teacher as interested in the child's welfare as you seem to be.
My eldest has had the misfortune to be at the forefront of the goverments' experiments with education. Born 1984 she was one of the first group to sit SATs in year 2, this was so badly done I eventually removed all my children from formal education 3 years later, now she copped the fiddling with GNVQs and AS levels.
Enough of my baggage - good article

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
