I am not a huge fan of reality TV; reading the article will certainly back that up, but I don't want to be overdoing the negativity, I would like some balance to my arguments.

i must confess that i initially found your article somewhat confusing. and then i read your message, and went back and read it - and made sense of it. it really is an interesting little discourse about reality tv (although readers might not get that at first glance, and i think that it's important to let the readers in on what you're discussing early on in an article); however, i feel that the edited guide may not be the right place for it, since it *is* a rather opinion-based discourse rather than solid researched facts, and somewhat informal (have you had a look at the writing guidelines). if you are interested in presenting your views with regards to a certain topic or subject, the best place would be the h2g2 post (you can get to the post office from the front page). in fact, you could propose to start an opinion column in the paper - i'm sure people would be interested. alternatively, if you are infinitely patient, you might want to wait for the underguide to get started (in case you haven't heard of it, the underguide is a proposed project for articles that don't quite fit into the guide - stories, poetry, opinions - but *should* go someplace), but i'm not sure if the project will actually go through...

considering that the authour hasn't posted for over two months and this isn't likely to be an EG piece perhaps it we should think of moving it?
