Hello, everybody...
A few of you may have noticed that I dropped off of the face of the 
there for a while. I've been in a pretty bleak place for a long time, haven't felt like I was fit company for man nor beast.
But, I'm trying to make a comeback...
In a nutshell:
*My hand/arm are still 
. I go see a hand specialist at the end of the month.
*The folks I work for plan to let me keep my job, just take away my law enforcement authority. I can live with that.
*I still live with Roxie
and Buck. idgit
got eaten, but BooBoo has taken her place.
Hope things are going well for everybody, and that I'll hear from folks soon...

Haven't made the trip, yet.
Did manage to squeeze in a much needed week off before New Year's.

Yeah, I do miss the little girl. 
She was probably the most unique of the s I've had.
Glad you at least got some vacation time! My bro & sis came down for xmas, so that was nice. I had most of 2 weeks off.

Pets really are furry little people. We had a Siamese that really seemed human. It was a bit unnerving at times.
Ooh, family time... in most families that's a good thing.
I'm glad you spent Xmas with family.

Yeah, the best part of the visit was that THEY had to make the horrible long drive for xmas, not me!
I nearly lost Buck around Thanksgiving; vet thinks he got hold of rat poison from a nearby building. 10 days in the hospital . Everyone, including the vet, was surprised he made it.
He's now worth ~ $17.50 a pound, dividing his hospital bill by his weight. I remind him of that if he gets on my nerves!

Buck is a very lucky .
After a while we gave up trying to tally pet expenses. Between the vet, the vitamins, the lost sleep, the collateral damage...
And, Mike wants another .

Ah, one of those kind of niggling ideas. Bothersome things.
Xena 
is currently sleeping on top the monitor.
We went to see the Lemony Snickett movie last night and got home late. Xena climbed on my shoulder and kept meowing. I checked her food and water, she had plenty. I think she was just lonely.

Xena doesn't usually have much to say.
This little will wake me up, then crawl back under the covers for the next twelve hours. Mike went and found her last night because she didn't greet us at the door. She was asleep in the middle of my bed.
