London was great, now back to the same old

B and I attended the H2G2 Winter Meet (see http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A946550) last weekend, and I'm slowly getting synced up with everyday matters here again.
As in, "exploring just why the soon-to-be-in-production mail server I almost completed setting up before I left for London managed to mount its /tmp partition readonly", "getting to know the wisdom of avoiding typos in your gateway config" (that was the newly resurrected as OpenBSD home gateway) and so on. And yes, I still manage to translate a bit now and then.
BTW that's me to the left in http://h2g2post.co.uk/londonJan2003/23_un_munch_toc.jpg, Pastey - still relatively unknown, for sure.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
