I noticed your kind comments on the poem I submitted to The Post (Pine) and wanted to stop in and thank you. Not often people ask me to say more!
I also thought it interesting what the sound evokes in you because coming from the northern half of the continent, I am more familiar with the sound once the deciduous leaves have dropped and the harsh Arctic winds are pushing through. Even in August the sound of wind in the pines brings up memories of ice and snow in the north woods.
