Ooooo, a lake of blood sounds really creepy. Hope it is not precognitive of some huge disaster.
In my dream, it was very literal - firemen were cutting themselves to get blood to put out a fire made with books. I think that the dream means that conflicts fueled by dogma are harder to extinguish. Or maybe that burning books is inherently bad. It's hard to explain exactly what I mean. Sometimes dreams stand better alone, with all their ambiguity, sans explanation.

i think you are onto something there yourself. the lake of blood in mine was hiding a lost city. very strange but i had to find a way through it.
