If you have a mobile phone connected to the 3 network, you'll see that their news service includes a story about the launch of the mobile version of h2g2, in the run-up to the cinematic release of "A Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" (sic). As well as lifting Douglas' "I was only joking" quote from the front page of h2g2, the article goes on at some length about being able to access the guide from your mobile phone.
However, the 3 network doesn't offer WAP access and only allows the user to access content supplied by 3, so while you can read this article about h2g2 on your 3 phone, you can't go to the site. The article is, therefore, mostly pointless.
Mostly pointless.

Adverts on the phone?! I should try to figure out how to get to log on to H2G2 on my web browser on the phone soon, I have this ambetion you see, you know, a man has to have ambititions in life, and I have one, its not a very good one, its not perhaps even a particularly difficult one to forfill, but it is an ambetition, and it'l do till I think of something better. And the ambetition is (how do yhou spel that word?, perhaps that could be another ambitetion to lurn how to spel ambitition?), well, it is to get me phone working on here, log in, whilst in, say a pub or hotel or resturant, and write an entry about the pub hotel resturant, whatever it is, and submit it to the guide, using the phone, and put it into peer review its not a very good ambetition is it?
Mostly pointless.

I think it's a wonderful ambition! Everyone should have one, and that's not a bad one. Although personally I think by the time you've tasted all the drinks for the review you won't even be able to find the phone, let alone submit anything.
Mostly pointless.

I think I'll need to ensure I've got the foldaway Bluetooth keyboard before I attempt it; would take ages to type it all in on the phone itself with the text message type thinggy I thought it was a good ambetition too; Now I have to get a move on to make it happen; hopefully to be the first person to get an entry become an edited entry in teh guide; after having written it 'at the location' of the entry, and submitted it from location
Mostly pointless.

Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! I've just had the most amazing, brilliant wizzo techno geeky nurdy wonderful idea should I reveal it? :: Write an entry on the Bell Book and Candle, (or whatever it is called now), doing some resurch at home first on the net, and get it on my phone; then at the summer meet; whilst at the pub, finish it off with a few more details as determined from being in the pub, then submit it to the guide an d PR from teh meet!
Mostly pointless.

Sadly I think I've beaten you (or maybe not sadly ). I submitted my entry about Bush House *from* Bush House. It was accecpted in Bush House and then published from there too. So .
Nice one about doing an entry from the pub though, we just need someone with a laptop to bring it with them.
Mostly pointless.

Shouldn't need a laptop; idea was/is to write it on and submit it from my phone as it can allergly* get on to HTTP websites as its got a webbrowser thinggy
