Hi, I'm not sure I'm using this right.

I thought I started a Guide entry then
saved it somewhere, on the basis I can
retrieve it. Which I haven't managed.?

Silly Willy

Do you mean this entry - A812495 ?

I notice you've written a journal entry containing some GuideML, is this what you mean? If so you can copy and paste the entry into a new Guide Entry and modify it from there! smiley - ok

No, but I did include elements of the "lost" entry when I drafted that one in order to see how it behaved...

No, although you're right that I did think I was starting a guide entry when I made that journal entry...

I concluded I'd written then erased
then saved. What I find interesting
is, when I came back, and edited it
and did save it and saw it rendered
via GuideML and logged out, well, I
just came back and it's not visibly
there, again. I haven't triggered a
null-entry default property setting
for that entry at the h2g2 end here
or anything have I?

There also may have been two windows
with the content in. Would the order
they were closed in maybe have had a
significant impact?

smiley - erm No, it shouldn't have done.

Are you sure you actually pressed the "Submit" button when you typed it in? The stuff you type won't be saved unless you actually store it as a Guide entry.

Thought so. No way to slart it
back up from anywhere then?

I don't think so.

What I suspect has happened is when you were adding your entry, there may have been a problem in your coding. So when you pressed submit, the entry was rejected by the parser. If this happened, you should have seen a page telling you what was wrong, and you'd have been able to try again.
