I don't want to be a pain in the but 'divided into the Confederacy, the South and the Union States the North' sounds like there were three parties

Ah, preconceptions! I remember meeting one of the scouts a year or so ago, introduced myself, and he said, 'Oh, paradigm shift!'. He'd pictured me as a bloke too! (I think it was Croz.)

I've been startled with the realization of so many researchers not be of the gender I pictured them. It's not just men, I thought someone was a woman, and she was a man, though that seems a bit harder to pull off.
