Here are two islands that I would like to go and stay for a holiday.

Gozo and Comino islands which have a slower pace of life than Malta.
The islands are greener, more rural and smaller than Malta.

Gozo is thought to be the legendary isle of Calypso’in Homers Odessey. There are many baroque style churches and there are old stone farmhouses throught the countryside of the island.

Between the islands of Malta and Gozo lies Comino. The island has a Blue Lagoon, which has safe bathing in its turquoise waters.

Holidays in Space could be a possibility in the future, the only drawbacks of the high cost of going there. Until a colony is based on the moon, tourists will be staying in the space stations ie the international space agency.

There have been market studies by NASA and many other organisations have shown that there is a demand for space tourism, and that the demand swill grow rapidly when the costs go down.

Suborbital flights will be the most common way to ride into space at first. Going to 100km or so, you can see the horizon out to 1000km or so and clearly see the curvature of the earth and the blackness of space.

Richard Branson announced in September 2004 that he has signed a contract with Burt Rutan to give him funding to design and build a 5-8 passenger vehicle. This space vehicle is unofficially referred to here as SpaceShipTwo. SS2 will fly safely and routinely above 100km for a cost of about $200k per seat.

Virgin Galactic already had 7000 people expressing strong interest within a month of the announcement of purchasing tickets to ride on the vehicle when it becomes available. Hopefully that the space flights will start in 2007.

The Algarve is situated in the South of Portugal. It was the last place to be conquered from the Moors by the Portuguese king in 1292. There are still traces of the Moorish presence can be still seen in the unique architecture - terraces, chimneys and whitewashed houses.

In the countryside fig trees, orange groves and almond trees in blossom, and is also very green and fertile. The coastline consists of a long sandy beaches, which are broken up by rugged cliffs and caves.

Switzerland climate varies greatly from one region to another. It can vary from very cold to a warm mediterranean climate depending what time of year it is.

Switzerland borders the countries of Germany in the north, Austria and the Principality of Liechtenstein in the east as well as Italy in the south and France in the west.

Apart from French, German and Italian another language is spoken and that is Rumantsch and it is only spoken in the region of Graubünden. The other two languages spoken there are German and Italian. Rumantsch, like Italian and French, has its roots in the Latin language. It is only spoken by just 0.5% of the total Swiss population.

Faced with the baking sun of a region this close to the Sahara, it is easy to understand why the locals chose to build their houses underground. Constructed as caves dug out of a central well, the dwellings provide room for expansion and perfect insulation from extremes of temperature.

The unearthly appearance of these architectural oddities is what initially attracted Star Wars meister George Lucas to the region - the earliest film as well as The Phantom Menace were mainly filmed in this part of the world, with nearby Tataouine even giving its name to Luke Skywalker's native planet.
While the Star Wars fans can spend weeks trawling Tunisia for locations Matmata in Tunisia scenery is breath taking. Locals open their houses to tourists, this is on a strictly business arrangement and there is a fee payable at the door or to take photographs.

The island resort of Djerba, which has a few Star Wars connections of its own. The town of Ajim, where the ferry to the mainland departs from, was used as Mos Eisley in the original film.

The Hoth battle sequences were filmed on location at the Härdangerjøkulen Glacier in Finse, Norway. It was located about four miles from the ski lodge which aslo served as production headquarters. The glacier is formed of blue ice, and is 6,000 feet high at its summit. The glacier did not require much visual effects work to turn it into the ice planet of Hoth. The production crew had to endure subzero temperatures and chilling winds and even the odd avalanche.
