did you get the version with the bookends? i did...hey're just standing there in front of me now, looking pretty...
also, i thought it was only 30 mins extra footage?
and there are supposedly two easter eggs, accessed through the select a scene bits, but i can only get one of them

did I not mention the book-ends?
How did I manage - yeah, I have them - I love them!
You can apparently only get the one Easter Egg on the UK DVD - apparently the film board decided that the MTV spoof was too risque for a PG rating, so the DVD maker people decided to cut it off rather than raise the rating.

one of my American friends told me it wasn't spectacular so I didn't bother to go on a hunt for it!
I'm quite happy with the other Easter Egg

'twas on ITV - I'm sure it'll be on a DVD next year - I think they have plans for an extended version, so I'm sure there will be a theatrical DVD with that kind of stuff on it.

yeah, I decided that! I have the theatrical FOTR - I thought that I'd like to have the original version, to remind me of what I loved so much in the cinema. But having seen the Extended version I don't see myself going back to the original somehow!
