Where did you hear about it from? Its possible its been invented more than once, and the source from which I know of it seems pretty localised.

dont remember...think it was my step brother. I live down here in texas, so if the source of the game was localised, that probably wasnt the original creation. perhaps one of the counselers remembered something vaguely like it and re-invented it. Oh! i remember now! i learned about it in a Piers Anthony novel, one from the apprentice adept series. later!
