I was going to join the heroes, but I figured this is a more exclusive and noteworthy group, even if we do end up losing.

Thus I wish to be a villian. I shall now have to pick a subset of the various abilities which MaW has displayed over the years, because otherwise I'm kind of Godlike, and that won't do. Hmm, let's see...

Name: MaW
Occuption: Meddler, opportunist, cheat, thief, liar, mediocre cabaret singer, promoter of evil causes
Dress: Black. Stylish. Think 'The Matrix' and you realise I'm shamelessly copying, except for the fact that I'm not a good guy
Special powers: Can see the entire electromagnetic spectrum, from gamma rays through to radio waves. Can also manipulate EM radiation by bending, reflecting it or similar improbable things. When necessary, MaW can also generate EM radiation of any frequency, but this is quite draining on the body's energy reserves, and so he likes to make sure he eats plenty of complex carbohydrates. Applications of this technique include lighting the way through dark places by glowing, interfering with unfriendly radio transmissions, or even becoming a makeshift radio transmitter, although this is largely limited to beeps and pops, as speech is too complex to modulate onto a radio wave mentally.

Is that too powerful?

Oh, and I forgot to mention, he knows how to use a gun, but isn't particularly good with them and prefers stealth, sneaking and unexpectedly whacking people around the head from behind with a solid object of some sort, like the medium whacking stick he keeps inside his coat, next to a bottle of tomato ketchup.
