Unilink is a Southampton-based bus company that goes absolutely no-where near Southampton Solent University, but does pop by the more prestigious University of Southampton that is a couple of miles north. Perhaps as a result of karma, one of their buses broke down and had to be repaired. Curiously, the breakdown haulage lorry has a giant picture of Shrek on the side, which is odd as Shrek is not a fan of buses. In fact, in Shrek Forever After he is distinctly annoyed by the Star Tours bus, particularly when one smashed into his privy.

So, if you had a broken bus, which cartoon character would you choose to come to your rescue? Inspector Gadget? Bob the Builder?

My choice would be Queen Elizabeth II, who appeared in such cartoon films as The BFG, Minions, The Queen's Corgi, to name but three. An accomplished lorry mechanic when serving during the Second World War, she'd strip the bus motor and have it purring like a corgi in no time.
