Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking. Started conversation Last Week
Our politically engaged farmers usually take the highway in their hundreds to go and protest if they disagree with what the politicians are planning. Not on trailers.

That must slow things down considerably.
When I was a little kid, we'd be driving in the country. Since this was the 1950s, my dad would be doing 80-90 miles an hour. Then suddenly, he'd slow to a crawl: tractor ahead. We'd creep along for a mile or so while the farmer reached his other field, then back to roaring down the two-lane.

That reminds me of something quite opposite. My Dad was driving on the highway, doing a little over 120 km/h in our Lada, when we got passed by the Turbotwin 2 rally raid truck of Jan de Rooy, our local truck racer, probably doing over 160 km/h.
The DAF Turbotwin 2 is a twin engine, 6 turbocharger truck with 1220 horsepower, doing up to 230 km/h off-road.
Check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZVyb2xJ-_w to get an idea how fast that is.
The Dakar Rally organisation later restricted the speed for trucks at 140 km/h for safety reasons. (you can't steer with all the wheels in the air)

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
