My Mum is not a Chrysantemum. She considers these funeral flowers, especially the white ones.

(nearly) Anything else is OK if you bring flowers. (unless it smells bad)

Yes! Americans are always surprised to find that chrysanthemums are funeral flowers in parts of Europe. They're considered festive for autumn here - you'll see them as corsages at school homecomings, even.

We associate white lilies with funerals.
