Why Has the Moon Gone to Church?

Huge replica of the moon in Grimsby Minster.
It was organised by The Culture House, a Grimsby-based arts and culture organisation. The Museum of the Moon is a touring art installation by Luke Jerram. The event is free but you have to book a time-slot in advance.

I presume that the Minster was chosen for the Grimsby event because of its high ceiling and security. The event lasts until 19 December, then it moves to France.

Editor's Note: The moon is 7 meters in diameter.
