A book review that has the advantage of linking to a place where you can read the book for free.
Hopefully, FWR will be able to take a photo of the house, which is practically in his back yard.

Interesting indeed - not an Entry to read late at night so I saved it for 10.30am!
You could perhaps say a tad more about the messages - 'email' isn't quite the right word for them because they appeared inside the word processing software rather than in e-mail software?

I just did a bit more speed reading of the book (alone... in my house...) and wonder if it is important to mention the first message was saved to the floppy disk? Maybe not as some messages just appeared in the word processing software if it was left open, is that right?
I see the computer was referred to as 'leems boyste' (light box) sometimes, too.

Yes - some were saved, some just showed up, others magically appeared on floppies when somebody searched on them (old ones!)...I didn't want to make it too confusing.
Also yes! The 'leems' were also called the 'leems boyste', which they figured meant 'light box'.
Personally, I find the messages far less spooky than the catfood stacking and copper pipe hurling. But then, some of my relatives have had door-slamming, furniture-moving poltergeists. Mrs Hoggett told one off once (not at HER house, no boogers there, only good spirits!), and it went away.
One reason I made this a book review was too avoid too much detail. Another was because this story can't be verified in any definable way - it's a subjective experience. I, for one, see no reason to doubt these people other than existential panic at the idea of haunted computers....
To which I would say, 'Don't worry, we have antivirus these days.'
