The Best on This or Any Other Planet
It's cold outside, Willem. The temperature is falling and the wind is howling. How is it where you are, h2g2? Whether it's fair or cloudy, rain, sleet, or snow, you'll probably appreciate a glimpse of somewhere else. We've got it this week: photos from all over – even outer space. NASA shares some pictures. That's sunset on Mars. Somewhere in here you can see the Flame Nebula. Lights from distant stars illuminate our winter darkness. The Moon has even come to visit Grimsby. It's in the minster, and Galaxy Babe went to see it. She spotted some beautiful windows, too. Willem has another splendid moose. Mrs Hoggett sent along some more animals for you to admire and identify. FWR's garden Buddha suffered an accident but remains serene, while in Galaxy Babe's garden, feathers are ruffled. I've seen some flying around, too. Up in the north of Scotland, Woolly Mammoth had a beautiful day and Paigetheoracle found an out-of-season bunny rabbit. We don't know how that got there. There's lots to read and enjoy. Extra videos, too. Dig in. Also: please send Stuff for the Christmas and New Year's issues! Pictures, stories, and how-to for your DIY holiday items, please! Enjoy your week. And remember: you still have a week and a half (almost) to wrap those presents. This has been a public service announcement of Santa's Helpers, Inc.
Quote of the Week: There is a [Charles Schulz] strip about a butterfly and a potato chip and Brazil that speaks deeply to our current epistemological crisis. Robbie Stamp at the latest Core Team meeting. (Yes, we're working on tech issues.)
