Wayne G was entranced by the music in his mind, he sat, nodding to the silent beat, seeing the sounds float before his eyes in a symphony of colours.

The overdose had fried his brain, releasing his mind to explore a world he hadn't realized existed. Why get high when all he needed was a decent tune.

He cupped the oversized headphones to his ears, the music and the colours intensified.

He noticed the hippy-looking lady watching him, he smiled and nodded to her, watching the colours flow from her beautiful dreadlocks, twisting in the air, joining his music, becoming even more stunning.

He felt a connection to this groovy chick, a proper eco-warrior, he was sure, back in the day, they could have had some wild times together.

Across the room Bertie wondered why the nutter was wearing unplugged headphones and staring at her like her head was on fire. One of those weirdos she'd cross the street to avoid in any other circumstances. Bloody stupid community service, why couldn't she just pick up litter like everyone else, at least she'd be doing the planet a favour!

Lance sat, forming mental photo-fits, merging his own features with Elaine's memory, each version turning out to look exactly like the Deacon.

Lance made up his mind, he needed to pull the clergyman to one side after the show and have a really serious chat. If he was wrong he risked looking foolish, but if he was right?

Across the room Galahad caught his eye, smiled and went back to enjoying his lovely afternoon. He felt something wonderful was about to happen and didn't want to miss a second of it.
