It has something to do with motion sensors. I see a lot of urinals and faucets equipped with sensors.

Those senseless sensors on the taps where you spend ages waving your hands underneath in the vague hope you'll one day get water, but you'd have more luck getting water from a stone.

Or those all-in-one affairs that drip on you, then jet out vast quantities of soup and then a blast of hot air leaving you with gooey, sticky, soapy warm hands...

I dreamed that I had been turned into a tree. That was a Paltry dream.

Maybe it is just a case of Geography and History.

If it is located in a low lying area. Given enough time, the local river/lake/sea will flood and flush this urinal.

There was a time when the drainage of the top of castle towers was arranged by a short gutter protruding from the battlements. My younger brother once found this out when he relieved himself (as a kid) and people below were starting to put up their umbrellas (this could also have been part of my blooper reel, now I come to think of it)

The word 'wardrobe' comes from garderobe, a castle toilet usually consisting of a hole in which the effluence could fall down the outside of a castle wall, with the toilet smell supposedly putting moths off.
