For good reasons. Pine tar has been shown to be antipruritic, anti‐inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal. Good for skin maladies. I wish that little pine tree seedling in my backyard hadn't been chewed off by the animals. I still have an eastern redcedar ((Juniperus virginiana) in back. I planted it a few years ago, and it has survived neglect and being next to a wire fence that someone put up after I planted it. Still growing handily, despite being in more shade than it would have preferred.
I love white pines. The clusters of needles look like soft green clouds from a distance.

Pine tar soap is good stuff! I bought my brother-in-law some 'Sasquatch Brand' soap for Christmas last year.

I agree. Every time I smell the floral perfume from someone across the road, I wonder how bad it would be if COVID were that contagious.
