An astronaut lands on an alien planet and attempts to read them a poem. Text on page.

Ee'Nahn Byroniq' had journeyed long for this moment. As he addressed the assembled aliens, he realised this would be the crowning achievement of his life.

The fact that they resembled small, pointed rocks was something he planned to leave out of his memoirs.

'I come in peace!' Ee'Nahn announced. 'I was chosen out of all the literary figures of my planet to bring you this message in poetry. I will accompany myself with this tradition al Ohoudh...'


'Who chose you?' interrupted one of the crowd. 'Was it by popular vote or select committee?'


'Well, uh, 'stammered Ee'Nahn. 'It WAS a committee. But it's a very great hon-...'


To the poetic astronaut's astonishment the aliens all turned and walked away. It was amazing to see rocks walk...


'Politics,' muttered a small rock. 'Always politics.'
