A Conversation for How to be Antisocial in an Online Meeting

Time management

paulh, making lemonade from the lemons that life has given me

In your entry you say, " If people know they have only 30 minutes rather than an hour, they get down to the business quickly."

This is a very good idea, one that is well worth keeping in mind.

I've used Zoom for family meetings, not business ones. I still attend in-person meetings because I think I'm the only one in my group who has Zoom equipment. This is like being the only person in the world with a telephone -- there is no one else I can call.

I sit at meetings with my eye on the clock, hoping the people will budget their time well. Yes, the chair said he only wanted to be at the meeting for an hour -- he's part of the problem. Like everyone else, he has too much to say.

Oh, well.
