I harbor the forlorn hope that hummingbirds will fly overhead, see my petunias, and come down to drink their nectar. Next week, the Post will likely feature a photo of my red petunias (red is a hummingbird favorite color). If petunia petals and petunia leaves are the same color, the flowers won't stand out....
I used to have Coneflowers with pink on the petals nearest the center, but green on the fringes. They died this winter. Oh, well.
Wildflowers are not usually green, though there's a sumac that is.
