We have done a bit of skating with the kids on a frozen pond 9 days ago. They had all grown out of their skates and the shops are locked down, so I had to improvise. My oldest son found out the difference between hockey skates and figure skates the hard way (toothpicks!). The youngest used the hockey skates with rolled up socks stuffed in the front for the perfect fit. (first time skating on outside ice under his own power)
Yesterday the weather was back at 18 degrees C, so I went rowing with short sleeves. (which is not normal for February)
