I didn't realize that a street encircled Vienna. I should check it out.

Apparently St. Stephen's is on the Ringstrasse.

No, I am sorry, it is not at the Ringstraße. St Stephen's is in the city center. The Ringstraße encircles the city center at the place where the former city walls/bastions once were. All the buildings at the Ringstraße are from the 19th Century - after they had torn down the bastions and all.

It makes me hope I can go to Austria again next summer holiday. I miss the Gemütlichkeit that is flowing through your story.
