Seriously, this is a wonderful antidote to all the violence. Not every hole in history is full of what my grandfather called 'shoot-em-ups'.

Vienna has had terrible wars -- Haydn died during Napoleon's shelling of
his neighborhood -- including, I think an attack by the Turks which a pretzelmaker saw in time to warn the others.
But Vienna in peacetime has been a pretty wonderful place, I imagine.
