Lovely shot Sasha, the low point of view tricks the eye into thinking this macro shot is some huge architectural structure.

Beautiful contrast and detail of the plant catching the sunlight.

The fern-like leaves give the impression of steps leading upwards to the crowning glory.

Makes me think of Chitzen Itza at daybreak, so thank you!

Usually we think of the colours of mimosas, but this photo brings out the form. There's something philosophical about considering the shapes of nature. Good one!

Yes, the black and white really emphasises the structure of the plant, like architecture indeed smiley - biggrin

Quite different from the colour version A87955104smiley - biggrin

In the black and white version, the narrow depth of field is more evident - it isn't quite as obvious in the colour version that the flower is actually out of focus, but in monochrome it is clear that the middle leaves are sharply in focus! Fascinating smiley - ok
