That was an insightful video - thanks DG. I know tempo as numbers, and understood them relative to one another, but didn't have any understanding of how the numbers related to minutes and seconds until now!
I have pieces like that in one of my keyboard music books, where the official tempo is 50 but the rhythm has to be set at a tempo of 150 in order to play them because they are in triple time. I have the advantage that they are well-known pieces such as 'House of the Rising Sun' A87951289 so I can adjust the tempo and rhythm to match other recordings that sound 'right'

Well, Dmitri, I'm glad that we can find common ground regarding Sinatra's friends, mob associates, and attitude to life. And maybe even his hats. As for his movie roles, there may not have been many others capable of the roles he got at the time. "Young at heart" was my favorite Sinatra song. It's a philosophical touchstone in my life, and I'm glad that one song, at least, was in his repertoire. Your generalizations cut an awfully wide swathe, and can do a lot of damage. I'm more about trying to do no harm.

All I said was that I didn't like Sinatra. I still don't. I probably won't next year, either. This will affect neither Sinatra's reputation nor the sales of his records, so it's kind of unimportant.
I'll still like Sasha's videos, though.
