Snark-hunting was something Lewis Carroll offered instruction in.
"Just the place for a Snark! I have said it twice:
That alone should encourage the crew.

Ah, yes, the practice of saying the same thing so many times that people give up on trying to correct you. 
Not that you have been guilty of this, Dmitri, except as an example of irony or hyperbole (observe the number of references to cats in the Post 
.
But. I don't have a full set of tools for negotiating the paths that lead through the Post and much of H2G2. I will stay with what has worked for me before. If people laugh at my efforts, I will hasten to say that I *intended* to be funny.

I always get a bit uneasy with the word droll, because where I live, a "drol" is a unit of excrement.

I think it is in English, too, a lot of the time, CRE.
Carroll's 'Hunting of the Snark' will be featured in the Post later this month. We have some volunteer interpreters.
