Should I get a passport?
Superfrenchie Started conversation Feb 20, 2019
Up until now, I've always traveled to the UK with my ID card only.
Everything I've found says formalities will *probably* remain the same until the end of 2020, but they're not quite sure yet.
Is there ANY way AT ALL to know before 30th March?
Does anyone have Theresa's number?
Should I apply for a passport, or should I leave it to the last minute?

Go ahead and get one. Who knows, you might wanna visit either Gosho or me in Texas one day. (Or the Caribbean, or Japan, or Nepal... wherever. There's more than just Europe, ya know.)
Besides, it's much easier to get one renewed than to get a new one. Speaking of which, I think mine might be due for renewal soon.

I got my German citizenship today - they told me that I can travel all around the EU with my shiny new ID card, but that for the UK I'd be better off using either my British or a shiny new German passport because nobody knows what will happen.
