This entry covers raptors, scavengers and game birds, the majority found in Scotland, Wales and mountainous parts of The United Kingdom. It excludes certain bird groups because similarity of appearance can confuse the learner. Over time the more subtle differences will lead to discovery but initially similarity can only confuse in any subject (as my old Mathematics teacher said "Simplify, simplify, simplify")
