What a funny memory. At one time those three tiered trays were quite 'the thing'. Obviously the red condiment was in your uncle's personal food pyramid. I remember using it as a kid to try to obliterate the taste of liver to no avail.

That is a great tale - how thoughtful of your uncle to forgo the sauce to save the table, but excellent that it was easily fixed so he could enjoy the food after all
